Got the call this morning and I have a job!
I have been applying for tons of jobs over the last few years and have been lucky to bag one last year, it’s a few nights a week bar tending at a local club but I have been after something to do during the day aaaaaand today was my lucky day!

Im not going to go into details about it but it’s safe to say that this Christmas is going to be great!

Oh and it means I can buy more goodies for myself and I guess the girlfriend can have a few little treats as well 😉

Just watched the first episode of Gotham………damn it was good! Loads of hints towards some of the more famous villains like Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler, Poison Ivy and quite possibly the first spotting of the Joker? I personally think that we won’t get to see much of the funny man till the series is nearly over, they’ll keep feeding us little bits every now and then to keep us guessing.

The problem with shows like this is that the fans want/need so much info that it could put off the average viewer BUT Gotham feels like watching a short movie, it’s not force feeding the viewer loads of comic book geekery……yea there is plenty of things for us to spot like the names of people like Mr Nygma and a pointy nosed umbrella holding man called Oswald.

My problem with getting into a new show is having to wait another week to see the next episode!

If you like dark cinematic style programs/films and don’t mind a dash of comic books then get this watched asap!

Kindle Unlimited

Amazon have just anounced that Kindle Unlimited is available in the UK!!

For £7.99 a month we get acess to over 650,000 books and thousands of audio books on Kindle devices (no idea about the apps though)
This sounds great for the girlfriend as she is a bit ofa bookworm and can always be found reading something new where as I find it quite hard to find something but when I do I cant put it down till im finished.

When you sign up you get a 30 day trial so we might as well give it a go, hell I might even find a new series to get stuck into!

Been Away For Quite A While.

So yea, I have not been on here for quite a while now and thats down toa few things.

First off, the laptop broke and I did try to carry on posting from mtphone but I couldnt get on with the app and that leads onto the second thing.

Second thing, the iPhone WordPress app…….I hadnothing but trouble with it, it kept signing me out and wanting me to change my password which tobefair is quite annoying and after a bit I just gave up with it.

And last but no means least we moved! It was a quick decision and did eat up A LOT of our time in both moving and soorting the new place out but now we have it allsorted and we are settled down so fingres corssed i’ll be posting more often.

While being awayI did manage to pickup a few bits and bobs I found cheap like a Mamiya c220 at a local fair in a boxwith some other odds and sods going for £20!! Not had the chance to test her yet but I will get a review up on here when I have the chance.

Well thats about it really, i’ll try to keep on top of this from now on with some film/TV reviews.

See you soon!

Black And White

I have been toying with the idea of developing black and white film at home, the outlay is quite a bit (about £100) but in the long run I’ll save loads but I’ll need a decent 35mm neg scanner and the half decent ones go for over £100!

Really like the idea of using ‘alternative’ processing methods like using coffee but I’ll also use the proper ways, I just want to experiment and build upon my rather basic photography knowledge.

I know I have quite a bit to learn about all the different films and the vast range of looks and feel you can get from them as well as trying to fin the one that feels perfect for me.

Does anyone have any advice on the chemicals? Any hidden film gems?

Out And About – Meadowhall

The girlfriend and I were wanting to get away for a few days with a little city break but by the time we got round to being able to book it the prices had jumped and put an end to that *insert sad face*

But we decided to just go for a shopping trip to Meadowhall and have a nice day together.

The day started just like any other……well apart from the face we were up and ready to leave the house by 7:30 in the morning! The girlfriend was wanting to wear her Game Of Thrones top I got her so I thought I might as well match and went in for one of mine. I know couples in matching tops can be bit cringey but I think we did rather well at carrying it off.

We didn’t have anything in to eat so we popped into McDonalds to grab a breakfast bagel/muffin and some coffee (I didn’t want to nod off on the train) and even got some money off with some vouchers we found. Bit tight and thrifty but we were on a budget. On the train we go armed with our Kindles, we did get a few funny looks because around here you don’t really see people reading anything that’s not a newspaper/magazine let alone reading on a Kindle.

When we arrive at Meadowhall we decide to walk around and see what shops we can find. The girlfriend loves stationary shops so of cause she wanted to nip into Blot and Paperchase, she also has a thing for Disney so nipping in there was a given. Now for me I had no idea what I wanted, in fact I didn’t really want/need anything so I just went into a few shops like Red 5, Cleopatra and Extravagance but nothing really caught my eye.

We found ourselves drawn towards the food court but it was just a little bit too early to have dinner so I suggested we go see a film to kill a few hours. We had a look at the Vue Cinema to see what was showing and Maleficent was just about to start and we both wanted to see it and it would of been stupid not to go.

So After seeing Maleficent we want for something to eat and we already knew where we were going. After seeing Diners Drive-ins and Dives we have always wanted to try some American Diner style food and the place to go for that in Meadowhall is Ed’s Easy Diner. We had checked out the menu before we even got there and knew exactly what it is we wanted.

I opted for a chilli cheese burger and the girlfriend went for a standard hotdog and we shared some bacon cheese fries and a portion of atomic onion rings. The burger was a decent size and the chilli was a nice and mild layover style, the girlfriend said that even tho her hotdog was just a normal one it was up there with her all time faves. The best part of the meal had to be the bacon cheese fries………fries = good, cheese = good, bacon = good so that means bacon cheese fries = FREAKING AMAZING!

After the meal we decided to go back to the shops we liked to pick up a few things, the girlfriend bought a book review notebook that she is going to using for her book blog/vlog and yet another notepad (im sure she has a weird thing for them) as well as a new pen to go with them. As for me, I didn’t really see anything I wanted other then some Lomography film from Urban Outfitters but I have enough to work through at the moment so I decided that we should go for some coffee before the train home.

I lost my Krispy Kreme virginity! I have been wanting to try these for so long and when I saw that that did coffee as well it was just obvious to us both that we had to go. I had a peanut butter kreme and a lemon meringue doughnuts. Both were really nice but I do have a soft spot for lemon flavoured sweets so for me the lemon meringue one won hands down.

All in all we had a great day, we dont really get to have days like this that often so when we do we really enjoy them.

Murdered: Soul Suspect Review

First post in quite a while but like I keep saying that will be changing.

I am lucky enough to be a review for Gioteck. They are makers of gaming peripherals for all the main consoles and they also put up some pretty darn swish reviews from myself and various other people.

Check out my review on the link bellow and while you are there check out the great work that Gioteck do.
